Dear Parents, Guardians, Students, and Partners in Education:

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to one of the finest magnet programs of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, the North Dade Center for Modern Languages (CML).

As I start my 17th school year as principal of CML, I have seen our school achieve a solid reputation for excellence nationwide, statewide and locally.  Our school community has received the high honor of being named a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the President of the United States and the United States Department of Education. This was followed by other spectacular recognitions such as REDBOOK'S "America's Best Schools," 1995; "Art in Public Places," 1996; the National Association of Magnet Schools of America's School of Merit, 1997 & 2001 and  School of Distinction, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, and 2007.  Last but not least, we continue to maintain our “A” grade as a School of Recognition in the State of Florida from 1998 to 2007.

We are all looking forward to a very successful and productive educational journey!
